Meet the Designers

Meet the Designers of Come and Get It Challenges

Hi My name is Cindy van Oorschot, I live in Aurora Ontario Canada with my husband Bill and our four  feathered  friends, Bandit our conure parrot, Sunny our lovebird.
I’ve been doing crafts most of my life I started with crocheting, and went onto knitting, cross stitch, then onto beading. I still enjoy working in these mediums, but my love has turned to paper crafts. I have been making cards now for 15 years. I started out doing  Pergamano, then using embroidery on paper, and onto 3d cards. I didn’t start getting into stamping until about 2007, which I only dabbled in it then. I then went to a Stampin Up party and learnt a lot more about rubber stamping and have been doing it since. I've been involved on a few card making groups over the years, started my own blog in March 2008, and have been blogging since. I've been on the Design Team of Come and Get It for the past 9 years, and also a designer for Holly Jolly Christmas Challenge, Crafting for all Seasons Challenge, and for Wags'n Whiskers Stamps and love meeting all the new talented card makers and crafters out there.  To check out my creations you can visit my blog at Creating with Cindy

Julie T.

Hi, my name is Julie. I am the mother of one beautiful daughter living in Eastern Iowa. From the time I was old enough to hold a needle and thread I have been creating. I love needlepoint, cross stitch, and crocheting...things my Mom taught me.
I started card making on a serious basis about 6 years ago, but I bought my first stamp 15 years ago! I got involved with several on-line stamping groups, and learned more and more about card making. Three years ago I started a blog, and REALLY discovered what card making was all about.
I have found Digital stamps in the last 2 years and LOVE them. I am a Designer for Bugaboo Digi Stamps and Catch the Bug Challenges. I am also on the Design Team at Holly Jolly Christmas Challenge, and have been having so much fun! I work with MANY other talented card makers, and have been blessed to "meet" SO MANY talented and wonderful people from around the world in Blogland!  Please feel free to visit my blog at Julie's Rubber Temple

Hi.  My name is Judy McKay and I am retired and recently moved with my husband to the sunny Okanagan, British Columbia, Canada. I love all areas of paper crafts and especially addicted to anything related to card making.   I have been making cards for close to ten years and an active member of several rubber stamp, ATC and mix media Yahoo groups, one which I am a moderator for.  I am a challenge and technique junkie. I started blogging last year to share my search for my creative side and you can view my creations at:
My favourite quote is by Maya Angelou. "You can’t use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have.”

I have been a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator now for nearly 3 years, although I mainly create cards I have recently been challenging myself to make some 3D projects and some scrapbooking.
I am so lucky to have connected and to continue to be connecting with so many wonderful and very talented people who all love to share their passion and enthusiasm for creating.  You can visit me anytime at Stampin with Meighan.

Hey, y’all. What an honor it is to be chosen as part of this Design Team. Scary too since I’m computer challenged and I’ve never been on a DT. I live in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. I’m married to my best friend, have children, grandchildren and the best pet in the world. His name is Woolfie the Bear. He’s a stuffed teddy bear and he knows he’s not real. I’ve been making cards for about 4 years. I’ve taught a few girlfriends how to make cards. Okay, so I got them addicted to it. My motto is: It’s only paper. If it ticks you off, throw it in the recycle bin. When you get a chance, please stop and visit my blog. Bunny's Cards

I'm Barb, retired and living in Hope, BC with my hubby of 36 yrs, our 3 dogs and 2 cats who seem to be in charge.  I've made things since I can remember but when I found stamping I was hooked.  It has been some 20+yrs and still my passion or to be honest my addiction.  I enjoy trying a variety of techniques and mediums as well as  being a member of the CAGI design team, gaining inspiration from the many blogs I visit and the people I've met in Facebook groups.  You are welcome to visit my blog at My Stamping Addiction

My name is Neva. I live in a small European country, called Slovenia. I’m the mother of two wonderful children (19 years, 33 years) and the grandmother of mischievous 8 years grandchild. I ‘m an employer in the company, where we perform the social service of guiding, protection and employment under the special conditions for adult people with mental disabilities. I share my love for the manufacture of paper craft with them. I started to make greeting cards two years ago. I love to colour digital stamped images by Copic markers. In my free time I’m an enthusiastic mountain high hiker. If you are interested in seeing more of my creations you can visit me at  N-Eva

I am a crafty-creative person who has dabbled in many crafts over the years.  My current passion is card-making and scrap booking.  I found digital images and blogging in 2013 and haven't looked back.  I love all the potential with digital images and especially the freedom to make them any size I want.  I'm working on my colouring techniques with the help of an on-line course and I look forward to working with new images each week.  I Iove being a part of a few wonderful design teams, and love to participate in weekly card-making challenges.  I'm known as Lynnpenguin in blog-land because I LOVE penguins and have a collection that numbers over 3,000 penguins and even had one beaded and sequined on my wedding dress.  You can see more of my creations on my blog at Lynnpenguins Creative Corner

I am a silver haired wife, mother of four, and nonna of eight, living in Hamilton, New Zealand.   I have been a crafter ever since I can remember;   with one artist grandmother and my other grandmother and mother being crafters – really, what chance did I have?  My earliest crafting memory is making doll clothes by winding ribbon around mum’s wooden pegs and drawing a face on.

Although I have tried most arty-crafty things over my life,  paper and fabric are what I love working with, and I find they influence each other in many ways.   I don't seem to have a specific style  (I’m too easily distracted!)  and  I like to have a go at anything if it looks interesting – I range from CAS to vintage!    I took up cardmaking for something to do when we lived in the UK in 2007/08 with my husband’s job and have been cardmaking ever since.  Challenges are new for me in 2015, and I find them so inspiring and motivating.  This is my first time on a DT so I hope you enjoy the mix and be inspired to try something for yourself.   My blog:

" Hi everyone. My name is Iwona and I live in Poland in a beautiful city Cracow with my hubby and our little baby girl. I was crafting since I can remember. Cross stitch, decoupage, sculpture, clay, jewelery making. Nowadays jewelery making is my job and papercrafting stole my crafter's heart :) The best thing in paper is that it's really a never ending story because there's always a new technique to try out. I have a lot of creative tried but since a few years ago I make most like cards and gift boxes. I started with the stamps you do not need coloring. I look forward to the new job in the team and am very happy to be on the team. Please come and visit my blog at Stampin' Jessica

Hi, my name is Jasmina, and I'm so excited to be a part of this team.
I currently live in NYC with my husband, two sons, two dogs and two cats.
Originally I'm from Slovenia, a small country in Europe.
Since I was young I have been doing crafts. I love knitting and sewing, but after moving to USA I switched to scrapbooking.  A few years ago, my main focus became card making. The small size of the card is a perfect way to try different techniques and styles. I'm also on a design team at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge and Holly Jolly Christmas Challenge.

You can visit my blog at JazzyCrafts.

Hi there! My name is Kaja and I'm from small European county called Slovenia. I enjoyed crafting since I remember but until about two years ago I didn't find that much time to do what I love. Now I'm studying maths in a local university and finally I have found enough time to craft. Please come and visit my blog at Kajcyika Crafts

Hi, my name is Susan. I'm from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. I'm the very proud mom of 2 adult children - Eden and Landon. My pets, Huey and Louise, the budgies; Yogi, a 16 year old ShiTzu; and Java - a holy terror puppy of unknown origin, kindly share their home with me. I'm a manager at a pet store, where I get to spend my day (and be tempted by) scores of other wonderful critters.  I've been "crafty" since I was very little, and have tried everything from polymer clay, to cake decorating, to sewing and embroidery. Paper crafting really captured my interest about 9 years ago, when I joined an online swapping community. I started with ATCs - making over 6000 of them - then got into cards.  I love all the different styles and techniques - not to mention the supplies :) My favorite cards to make are the ultra customized ones, using all kinds of weird themes to fit the recipient's interests. My journey brought me to the many challenges online, and from there, to belonging to wonderful design teams, such as this one!! So honored to be here! You can visit my blog and see my creations at
Edenland Designs

MaryAnn here, and I am the new kid on the block, although new and kid should not be used in the same sentence when describing me. I live in Sunny Southern California in a very small town. I am a wife, mother and grammy. I love to camp, ride my quad in the desert, look at the stars and chase Unicorns. I have been “Crafty and Creative” from a very young age, learning to crochet and knit by age 3. Thankfully I was raised by parents who never pushed me into a mold of the worlds version of normal. I think glitter can make everyone happy, Unicorns do exist, Rainbows taste like my mothers Christmas cookies, and that there are no mistakes in crafting, only a reason to add another embellishment. To answer another question yes the picture of me is real, I do in fact have purple hair! I would love for you to come over to see more of my creative side at on my blog at Paper Dreamz

I'm a Professional Woman from Illinois, married to my high school sweetheart for 46 years.  We have 2 grown children and 3 Grandchildren, who all live too far away to enjoy on a routine basis-Gosh I just hate that!  It was their births, starting 14+ years ago, that started me scrapbooking memories. My daughter would say that I am a "collector" in that I never met a scrap item that I didn't like and through the years have gathered quite an array of various " treasures" so that I'd ALWAYS have just the right thing to put on my creations
ago, that started me scrapbooking memories.  My daughter would say  And, sadly that is the reason I think my craft room sometimes looks like I could open my OWN Local SB store!
eventually found my "niche" in making cards-I see it as making little creations of Art and I'm giving you a present that's part of myself. I use this "Hobby" as a stress-reliever in the evenings after work as well as playing in my flower gardens, working in the yard, going to
craft Festivals-can you tell I work in an office?  I'm so happy to be joining this great Design Team!  Looks like a happy group of gals using wonderful Images, and a super website-Let the Fun Begin! You can visit me at Luv my Cards
